A bush fire is burning in the area of Range Road and Seven Hills Road Collombatti, approximately 12km north of Kempsey.
Firefighters and waterbombing aircraft are working to control the fire.
Current Situation
- The fire is currently burning in the vicinity of Range Road and Seven Hills Road.
- Today, favourable conditions will allow firefighters, supported by heavy machinery and aircraft to construct and strengthen containment lines.
- The fire is more than 155 hectares in size and is not yet controlled.
What you need to do
- Monitor conditions and stay up to date. Know what you will do if the situation changes.
- Stay alert and monitor your surroundings.
- Watch out for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.
- This means looking out for burning embers, changes in wind direction and smoke. Watch for signs of fire in your area.
